global warming.?

how many of you are as mad as i am, that nobody is doing much about the whole global warming issue? ppl jus need to wake up and realize that the world is not just going to keep reproducing all of the natural gases and fuels for us to use up and put into our atmosphere. when we have other choices, other options to chose from...why are we chosing the ones that are ruining our enviorment for this generations' future? even tho some car and truck companies such as ford, GMC and dodge are making bio friendly vehicles, what about everybody else? what about all of the factories, the motorcycles, the burning of harmful things such as plastic? when we could use recyclable items such as paper or cardbored, why do we chose 2 use foam? because its prettier? think of how pretty our eath was 10, 15 years ago, and what its going to look like 10 to 15 years from now. think of our own planet's future. what do u have to say as 2 the ignorance of those who make harmful decisions for our plaents wellbeing?

Pollution control, including reducing green house gases is a multi billion dollar business.

I'm mad as heck and I have seen the terrible things that have been done to our little planet! We might be an intelligent species,but we aren't very SMART! When will the sheeple wake up and realize that we're on a tiny wet rock spinning through space!?! We will change,but at what point,and at what human cost? When I hear some stupid say that fighting against Global Warming would be harmful to the economy,I get so mad! What good is an economy if the conditions on Earth won't allow us to survive? Religion plays into the deniers hand quite well. If people are so naive that they believe in superstition and false dogma,they will never understand the magnitude of the real situation!

I hate that nobody is doing anything to prevent global warming. You should make posters saying what ppl can do and hang them up . I did that i hung it around schools supermarkets and places people can see them. It's so annoying that some people don't even care about the enviorment and don't do anything. . I also agree that in 10 or 15 years the Earth will look like a dump. The thing that annoys me is that so people are lazy and throw garbage on the street no in the trash. Also, people use to much hairspray if people stopped using it so much there would be less air pollution. I am just SO mad!

I realize you "care" more than I do, but lighten up. How far back do you want to go? Back to living in a mud hut? To when there was no indoor sanitation? To when horse crap polluted the streets? To when we foraged and hunted for food?

I hate to be the bearer of reality, but we are the first generation of inhabitants of this planet that have the luxury of worrying about the environment. This luxury is due solely to the advancements brought on by the Industrial Revolution that you deride.

Our world cannot be powered by good intentions.

I think most people are frustrated, but the bottom line is that we need to push some significant technological advancements in the next few years. While these high gas prices are putting a huge dent in many people's pockets, the gas prices are forcing auto makers to look at higher gas mileage vehicles. Economic pressure pushes people/companies to advance technology. If these high gas prices weren't around, hybrid cars wouldn't be as popular as they are now.

Another way to enact economic pressure is through legislation in the U.S. If companies are required to reduce greenhouse gases, people will find ways to make technological advances to reduce emissions. If something makes money, people will do it.

Congress is drafting new legislation as we speak. Send a letter to you congressman to make this legislation as powerful as possible!!!

I'm with Dr Jello == We have been doing something about pollution for many decades - probably before you were born.
Look back at history and learn - see the many polluted areas that HAVE been cleaned up.

Don't fall prey to the real scammers and become a 'sign carrying' DUPE.

Absolutely, it drives me crazy, one of my best friends refuses to believe in it, although i haven't tried to convince her, until bush admits it exists, congratulation! the u.s. is now the most polluted country on earth, even china, former number one is taking very harsh limits to help the enviroment. At this point theres no turning back, our planet is messed up and is going to stay that way, the best we can do is lessen the crash and burn we're going to leave, in other words, it's too late, climatic changes aren't going to go away, but if we act now, we can soften the blow.

i agree. everyone seems to belive that global warming is a government scam but it is not. it is happening right here right now. and not everyone is doing there job to prevent it. if you want to help make a difference, go to stopglobalwarming.org and join to help stop or at least slow down this process.
