How do I get a picture to fit into a heart shaped locket? Ho do I get it small enough?

Funny. I just put 4 photos into a locket for my neice tonight.

Take a piece of plain paper and press it against the opening of the locket with your thumb. Press hard enough to capture an impression of the heart where the picture has to fit. Cut out the heart and try it into the locket. Trim it as needed until it fits. If there is a little lip around the opening, be sure that you have got your pattern under that lip. Once it fits, take it out and use it as a pattern to trace onto your picture. Cut carefully.

Sometimes when you get pictures printed they give you an index card with thumbnails. This might be the right size.
