are men turned off by an aggressive woman?

I am the kind of girl that just may start talking to a guy that I find attractive.Do men appreciate that in a woman or does it turn 'em off?

It depends on how it is done. I have had relationships with girls who some deem aggressive, and found it great. But that is because the girls could be both aggressive when the time called for it, and subtle and subdued when the time called for that instead. Some girls are always aggressive and forward, and don't know how to let up. That is a BIG turn-off. But other girls know how to stand up for themselves, how to be confident and playful and assertive, BUT CAN ALSO be "feminine". One example is a girl I know, a very good friend of mine. The two of us have whole conversations where it's nothing but sitting there making fun of each other, teasing each other, calling each other dumb names. And she usually wins these "arguments", getting the better of me in sarcasm. But she was also very gentle and supportive when I needed help to get through the anniversary of my best friend's death. She could be both aggressive and gentle. If she didn't already have a boyfriend (who is also a close friend), I'd ask this girl out in a hot second. Another girl I know can also beat me at sarcasm, and is also very aggressive. But that's all she is. I would never go to her for support, because she's always "on". This is a big turn-off. So, aggressive behavior is fine, so long as it's tempered by another side as well. In fact, if it is so tempered, the ability to be aggressive when you need to be makes you more attractive than the girls who always submit to somebody else's opinion, or who can never answer back. At least, that's my thought.

I think you mean "assertive" rather than aggressive. The word aggressive suggests a bad attitude and a tendency for her to kick a guy in the balls (maybe literally).

I like a "team effort" in a relationship, with good balance and a positive attitude. There are times when it's good to be assertive, and also times when a more diplomatic approach is needed.

omg I love that in a women. Ever since I was young every time I see a girl, I wouldn't talk to her. And then a month later she would have a boyfriend and she would say to me "Why didn't you talk to me??" I like it when girls take the initiative.
