Why are Christians the target of these antagonistic posts? I don't care what you say, I have been watching the questions here for quite a long time, and at least over 90% of anti-rligious questions are aimed at Christians. Why is that? If you think that God is a fairy tale and religion is bad, then why don't you include Jews, Muslims, or Hindus in this question? Well, I know one big reason why: Because Institutions of Higher Learning (what a joke!) have systematically attacked Christianity and indoctrinated their minds-full-of-mush students into believing this garbage. Most of you attackers come out of a post-christian cultural situation in which blaming Christianity for everything is acceptable and politically correct. In fact, bigotry against Christians (and especially Catholic Christians) is one of the last acceptable prejudices in America. If you insult a homosexual or a Muslim you have commited a hate crime. Insult a Christian and you're a hero at UC Berkeley. These attacks are better proof than any other proof I know of that Christanity is the true religion: Why else would the world attack it so hard?

Oh, gosh! You caught us.
And the spelling is "their".
Jesus said that we will always have the poor with us.
You know you could do the same to help people. Christians aren't the only ones who can, but we do more of it than anyone else in the world.
We do what we can in the ways we can... if it affects the small part of the world we live in God is pleased with that. I give to overseas missions. I helped our church give our 230 Thanksgiving baskets earlier this week - people were kind and grateful.
What have you done lately?

good answer by catholic crusader although they didn't actually answer the question but used it to make a statement,
however i will answer your question if i really thought that giving all my worldly goods to help the poor then i would but would it help? no i don't think so, it is not enough to give away money, you need to re educate the people on this planet which is not possible as greed will always over take.

Why does this just apply to Christians?
My family is wasteful. When I have my own house then yes, I will only have what I need. I hate waste and love recycling and compost.
I believe that the poor children are there to try and make people show compassion. People are so selfish nowadays.

Is that a commandment from the bible? lol. I don't recall learning that Jesus asks us to give all our wages to the starving poor. I think he asks to be giving though, so I don't see any problem with having a house and car, while also giving to the poor.

Christians are meant to be conduits of God's Grace and Love, if what you are suggesting was God's plan for his followers it would be done willingly by any Christian.

You know I already live this way so I don't need to. I have gone without more than you know to help others, every day since I got saved. What about you?
I actually agree with Catholic Crusader's answer.
