My best guess is that the job stress, combined with a likely lack of sleep, is causing you to be depressed.
Chronic stress is a common cause of depression; or in other words, the depression is a symptom of stress.
Your intuition about the drinking is probably right. Alcohol itself is a "depressant", or a "downer." So in the end, it will probably make you feel even worse. The nicotine addiction probably isn't helping either.
Stress is not "all in your head", it's effects on your body are very real. Stress increases the risk of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, cancer, stomach ulcers, back problems, mental health problems, infections, and many other health issues. The same is generally true of smoking. Heart disease, stroke, and cancer are among the top ten causes of death in the US.
Among the smoking, the alcohol use, stress, and lack of exercise, I would hardly say that you were in "good shape."
I wonder, you don't have a family to support, or a girlfriend, why do you feel you need to work 80+ hours a week? Are you that desperate for money, that you are willing to put your happiness and health on the line?
My suggestions to you are these, (keep in mind that I am not a doctor, my advice should not take the place of a professional.):
-Get a new job, or at least find a way to significantly cut your hours at work.
-Get at least a full 9 hours of sleep *every day.*
-Quit drinking.
-Quit smoking, (or at the very least, *keep trying* to quit.)
-If nothing else works, talk to a Doctor or a Psychiatrist.
Good luck,

Good idea, stop drinking. Drink lots of water instead, it will make you feel alive. You can relax, doesn't mean you have to be alone. Having alone time is important too, but that's what sleeping is for right?
Lay off the booze and see how you feel :)

I would read a good book that if you like to read. Watch a movie. There all kinds of things you can do to relax with only having one day off on you're job. Hang out with you're friends. Have some friends over to watch a movie with you.

Find a job that isn't so demanding of your time. You should have some you time. After that you will be mentally healthy enough to focus on not turning to alcholism for your misery and focus on something more productive.. AA sounds like a good step for you.
