No the law is not the devil or Satan.
The law was (see how I use WAS and not IS) a school master.
It's purpose was to convict those who were not righteous (everyone) so they would undrstand their rebellion aginst god and then accept Christ when he arrived as savior.
But the law is over and done with.
Don't even think about it.
Instead live in the sprite of grace and righteousness.

The law is equated with the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and not Satan.

Religious law is not usually evil; it just becomes cumbersome if too much of it is written, and it interferes with the practice of faith if emphasis is placed more on following the religious law than on practicing faith.
