Or are they longing to hear what they really feel but are afraid to admit?

Discussing religion in this forum will make people mad. You are going to get people that have absolutely no interest in hearing a different opinion. Religion is a personal preference, no one should try to overwhelm another person to convert to a new bellief. It is more important to understand other beliefs, let them know that you would be happy to discuss your wonderful beliefs any time that they would like.

Of course, if someone reading this does not agree and gets mad they are proving the point. Enjoy the day!

For both Atheists and Evolutionists, I believe that it is mostly just to make fun of and put down believers with no real proof for even their own faith-based beliefs without God -- for what further reason or justification do they have for their existence? They come here, though, because they are just as religious, just as much a believer in something, as are God-believers. However, I also believe there is a fundamental need not being satisfied in their lives which they come here in the hopes of reading the very piece of information -- concerning God -- which will be the keystone that opens up and fills this longing need within them.

I think some come to argue--they are pretty easy to detect--but others come out of curiosity and a desire to understand why so many people believe so vehemently in something that they do not.

There are as many reasons why atheists join this community as there are atheists.

I think the real question is:

Do christians come to this site simply to argue ?
Or are they longing to hear what they really feel but are afraid to admit?

I wouldn't come to yahoo just for r&s It's more that you'll sometimes see a question from here when you're in another category and one thing leads to another.

What have you got against argument?

It makes people think .

Methinks that many atheists and Christians (especially) come on here solely to argue.

I don't see the anti-atheists vile being spewed by most other people who represent religions other than Christianity.

That is weird to me.....

Frankly, I am a bit more live and let live.

And to the angry Christians, I ask this: Why do you CARE if people disagree with your faith? Is your love of God so shaky that you cannot just let people with differing opinions go on their merry little way? I think I will quote your lord by saying "Oh, Ye of little faith!" Are you (and the "militant-type" atheists) so bored with your lives that you have nothing better to do than argue with people you have NEVER met (and never will, most likely) over the internet????

Please, all of you, get a life.

Who cares if someone disagrees with you? What is the big whoop about that?

I just don't get you folks (both pro and anti God)!!! There are millions of more important things to get all het up about!!!

And Christians....why are you so concerned anyway. Live your life and let the rest of them worry about going to hell themselves...I don't recall them asking you to save them.

Same for you atheists....why do you care what they think? Huh?

So all of you on both sides: grow up and act like adults!

That's all.

I come here to laugh at Christians that argue among themselves. Just ask whether the Sabbath is on Saturday or Sunday.
