I would like to use some photos that I have taken over the years and put them on a coffee cup for my father how would I do something like that?

There are several print on demand companies that do this. The one I recommend is www.cafepress.com.
With cafepress you can upload artwork on to standardized items such as coffee cups and Tshirts, order as many as you like (or sell them to the public if you wish), and the print it, bill it and ship it. Your order usually arrives within seven days.

Take it to Wal-Mart or Target or Walgreens or any other photo lab.

WalMart can do it for you.
Take the picture, whether it is a digital or actual photograph, they can do it for you.
