Yes billions are made from the marketing of so-called "global warming".

And the so-called "scientist" promoting "global warming" make millions from special interest groups who have vested interest in keeping this scam going.

Dr.James Hansen "won" $250,000.00 from John Kerry's presidential campaign for his endorsement and support of Kerry's "environmental" plans. Hansen has also received millions from George Soros MoveOn.com.

"Global Warming" is a profit making scam. Do let the bogus claims fool you. It hasn't gotten any warmer during the last 10 years.

You bet there is, there is always big money to be made fixing or curing something that is life threatening, look at the drug industry, they love new killer bugs and just like the drug industry, they will break global warming down into component pieces and put band aids on each little piece which will be worth billions if not trillions and they will never seek a cure because that would kill the golden goose, they'll drag it out till something better comes along...just like the drug companies.

Absolutely. People are making fistfulls of cash drumming up end of the world scenarios to sell books, papers, magazines, movies, carbon offsets, etc.........

What is happening is what is called a WEALTH TRANSFER. All you have to do is follow the money, where is it coming from, and where is it going.

This scam is an effort to price people out of energy, by forcing everyone to buy hybrids, buy carbon offsets, comply with draconian laws, and pay new and insane taxes all in the name of "saving the planet".

The real agenda is to make the WORLD'S poor dependent, and subservient to this "new society". No one is thinking of the poor who will no longer be able to drive to work/school, heat their homes, and basically live. The standard of living for the poor/working poor are going to be DRASTICALLY reduced, and no one seems to care.

Finally, the Earth has been around for billions of years. BILLIONS OF YEARS. Us humans haven't even inhabited this planet for a million years yet. Who are we to say that we have this power over the planet? We have NO power to affect the planet in such a damaging and irreversible way, to even suggest that we have that kind of power is frankly arrogant.

Watch people, this thing will be exposed eventually, but by then it may be too late to save the millions of poor who are going to die off because of this.

I consider myself to be a liberal. And I have to say that no, there's no money in it. Sure, someone can make money giving speeches, or writing books (works for self-improvement a****les too), but for real money making it's useless. And trust me, I've been wracking my brain to find some way to cash in on it. There just isn't a good product to sell to the believers... with the possible exception of the Prius... that was one hilarious idea.

Oh...did you want the opinion of a liberal who actually BELIEVES in global warming? I do believe that the earth is warming up, but I also happen to believe it's a natural development...

That asnwer you?

There is indeed huge money in the current belief in fossil fuels.

In July 2007, Exxon reported quarterly revenues of $98.4 billion.

NASA's entire Earth Science budget for 2006 was $1.3256 billion and only a fraction of that is available as research grants.

You are right. Follow the money.

NO, its not possible to tell you that any person related to the global warming religion isn't in this for money, at least no one in the government or any sort of professional field. The people whom are not making any money off the scandal are your typical motivated human beings, protesting factories, oil companies, and buying "green" items. they're in it for fear or concern for the planet or their own skin.

Yes, the people who believe that it's a scam are making lotsa money ! Al Gore donated his earnings from his movie so did he make millions from telling the truth? NO!
I feel sorry for ANYONE who is still so ignorant about what is happening on our one and only little planet! It's the deniers that want to make it seem that it's a political plot to get votes. What they are afraid of is that Climate Change is a uniting force. It's not a 'wedge issue' such as gay marrige or abortion. People care more for the planet than they do for some obscure political platform!

There's no question that global climate change will cost the world economy. Who will make the money? Well, the oil industry is not one of them. Believe it or not, the nuclear industry will benefit from the theory. Nuclear plants comparatively emit very little CO2. Companies who develop new technologies to reduce CO2 will benefit (e.g. solar, wind power, etc.). The coal industry will be hit hard.
