1/2? You mean 6 months old? How about This Little Piggy Went to Market? Or Five Little Monkeys. Babies this age need interaction, smiles, and touch, so I would think something like This Little Piggy while counting toes would be perfect. Another idea might be counting blocks as the child drops them into a bucket, or counting bean bags as the child throws them. Think hands-on.
