You can use any camera to take pictures of your computer screen. If you're using a CRT monitor, be sure to set your shutter speed at some sub multiple of the video refresh rate or else you will get weird banding (e.g. a 60 Hz refresh rate should be shot at 1/60 or 1/30). Most LCD monitors are sluggish, so you don't need to worry about shutter speed as much. You will need to worry about Moire patterns when taking shots of an LCD screen with a digital camera. There are better ways of capturing your computer screen image.

The better way:
Assuming you're using Windows, use the "Print Screen" key on your keyboard. This will place an image of your computer screen in the clipboard. If you have an image editing program like Photoshop, you can paste it into a new project. In a word processor like Word, you can paste the screen image into your document.

Two ways of doing this:
Print Screen will capture the whole screen. You may need to hit the Print Screen key twice in rapid succession.

Alt-Print Screen will capture the active window that is currently highlighted. Again, you may need to hit the Print Screen key twice while holding down the Alt key.

I've done that when I want a screen shot and they don't allow thumb drives or anything in the computer.
1. Don't use a flash.
2. Try taking it at a couple of different angles, in case you get a reflection of room lighting.
3. Use the highest quality setting on the camera.

It would be easier to just use a screen capture program, rather than taking a photograph. As long as you aren't taking a screen shot of a DirectX based program (like some DVD players or games), you can simply hit "Prnt Scrn" for print screen and capture the screen to the clipboard, then just paste it into a program like paint or photoshop, then save it as a jpeg.

If you're using a DirectX program, try HyperSnap DX, which will allow capture of such program windows or a desktop with such a window running.

Just like Cartanz say, get a USB drive to save the pics and take it to Target

Agreed--but one time I had to use my camera because the stupid graphic card gave me the blue screen of death (Windows didn't even start up). Printed that and brought it back to Fry's and they laughed (not at me, I hope). I quickly got my money back and got another card!
