I LOVE the name mango...I have always wanted an orange cat...I'm soo jealous! (But I have two cute babies that I love already) But yeah...Mango is just adorable. If you really want some other suggestions I can give, but I think Mango should definitely be one of your top picks!

As some other people suggested, Pumpkin is good (probably more common than Mango though). I also really liked someone's idea of Peaches.

Here are some that I thought of on my own (hopefulyl no one already mentioned them):

Paprika (like the orange-red spice)
Clementine (if it's a girl? except Mango is kinda girly too)
Spicy (i like it better than just Spice)
Ginger (someone may have said this already)
Sprinkles

I think it also depends on what he looks like...is he a persian, long-haired, or really furry? Then you may want something more regal or even comical...My cat is a 15 lb Maine Coone and he has tons of fur...we named him Maximus (like a gladiator). I sometimes really like funny people names for animals....here are few fun ideas:

Ferdinand
Icarus
Jefferson
et etc...you get the idea

for girls, I like Penelope, Sophie, Guinivere

hope this gives you some ideas

That's funny. I'm getting a Duck Toller (hopefully) next year, and Mango was actually one of the names I was considering. I remember when I was little, I used to dream of having four Golden Retrievers - Mango, Apricot, Peach and Amber. Mango is such an adorable name, and seems to fit the Retriever breeds, like Labradors, Goldens, Duck Tollers etc. : ) Such a cute name.

Years ago, my daughter and her family moved to a farm house and seven outdoor cats came with the package. Three of the cats were orange, and their names were: Pumpkin, Peaches, and Apricot.

Other suggestions are Yam Boy, Sunset, and if your orange cat is a Tabby, with white and orange stripes, how about Rainbow? Actually, I like the name, Mango!

I like mango, but I like any different name that isn't the norm...we had a cat named broccoli and cheese (daughter named her), swirly, ruby, max, spudley, stinky, frank, rose not all at once though but through the years....I would stick with mango it's different and neat.
