Hey Charles W,

Yes there is a spiritual Jerusalem. Rev.21 "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more. "I saw also the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God." "Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

Not spiritual, but very real. The Holy City in Heaven is called Jerusalem. When God creates the New Earth, the Holy Jerusalem will descend from heaven onto the earth.

Revelation 21:2
saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

Yes, as the whole Bible takes place within. Heaven and earth are symbolic, as is Jerusalem. The new Jerusalem symbolizes a new state of being, which one enters into through the creation of a new (spiritual) heaven and a new (spiritual) earth. Mt Zion is referring to a spiritual ascension process, which Jacob's ladder symbolizes..."the angels ascending and descending.." Angels are spiritual messengers, which take messages from the heart, to the mind, and back again. It is through this 3500 year-old 12-step process that we are made perfect. The capital of Israel, in the east-central part of the country in the West Bank. Of immense religious and historical importance, the city was occupied as far back as the fourth millennium b.c. and became the capital of King David c. 1000 b.c. Destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar II in the sixth century b.c., it was later ruled by Greeks, Romans, Persians, Arabs, Crusaders, and Turks and by Great Britain under a League of Nations mandate. Israeli forces took control of the city in 1967. Jerusalem is considered a holy city to Jews, Muslims, and Christians. Population: 561,900. Jerusalemite (-l-mt)

It is in Israel and all of it should be under Israel's control. Other than that the new Jerusalem would be a future event if any of it were true.

Jerusalem is the capital & largest city in Israel.

EDIT.
MIMI and wolfkarew are completely wrong.
god forbid it ever becomes a part of Palestine, they got what they deserved when they refused to help the Jews and give them land. If they had, Israel would have been a quarter of the size it is now and there would be no problems, but now I hope nothing ever goes right for Palestine.

It is very funny how you immadietly blocked me for saying that I hope the Eastern Part (the part that was occupied part in 1967) will return to the Palestinians. It was theirs before 1967 and it should be returned to them.

Peace
