Well they could actually use food and manpower instead. Anyone go there to actually help? Or did you all just pray for help for them?

Funny how most just pray, and that's it...how about, instead of hoarding all the money up in your vaults, you use it for the betterment of mankind, such as, say, helping people in Pakistan, or Bangladesh, etc. Instead of praying, help them! Praying isn't gonna do much, or, be the prayer and HELP them! I know some do, and props to them, but a majority do not, which they need to start doing...

Some religious groups do, some don't. But like in the case of 9/11 which even though was not natural there was much rejoicing in the streets and celebration going on in some parts of the world.

For the people that have said "Prayer doesn't help, did you actually go there and help them?" - I would ask you the same, have you travelled to help others in need, if not, you shouldn't mock people who send thoughts of prayer and good will to people have been through a disaster.

And before you jump on me - yes I have. Went with the red cross to New Orleans after Katrina and also spent 2 years in the peace corps.

We pray for anyone who is going through a rough time, like a natural disaster.

Our pastor also prays with them. He is part of a little group of preachers / priests / iman's who regularly get together to pray and talk.

Well, I do. Most people in the world aren't Hellenic Pagans like I am, but that doesn't matter. If they're in trouble, I'll pray for them anyway.

Compassion is not delivered based on religious creeds - that is pretty much the whole parable of the Good Samaritan.

Christians always do this. We send supplies, food and a helping hand.
