have tried a few different methods. Obviously preheated oven, cold PP straight from fridge, pre-rolled PP straight from fridge, left to stand at room temperature for 10 mins etc etc.

Suggestions for best way to get it to rise please using premade only

I don't think puff pastry is supposed to raise. If it does not contain yeast, it will not rise....search on foodnetwork.com

puff pastries are pastries that are folded 1,000 times... that is why they puff.... try folding the pre-rolled PP again...

here is another thing that you should know...

pre-made puff pastries have lower rise than the home made...
but the thing is, you buy pre-made PP because its is much more efficient and time saving than home made...

Make sure you don't open the oven door until they are done. Openingt he door will ause steam to be released and the temp to drop and it can cause un-puffy pastries.

Good luck.
