He would have known all the punch lines or humorous situations in advance (and for all time), thus making them decidely unfunny.

It must have been a drag to be around such a humorless being.

The assumption that all laughter is spontaneous is erroneous. I have laughed many times from joy and pleasure, not just at a punch line. As a human, of course Jesus would have laughed. The fact Jesus was constantly being invited to parties, dinners, people's homes, etc. would seem to indicate he had a personality that attracted people, and lack of humor and joy sure doesn't attract anybody.

Heavenly Father didn't make human beings including Jesus as robots. That is why nor Heavenly Father no Jesus cannot know in advance, because only robots you can know in advance. Surely Jesus could laughed, but I'm sure there were not so many times to laugh for Jesus at His time. Because He knew Gods' Heart, which was in grief, cause people's attitude to Him and to Jesus. IF JESUS COULDN'T LAUGH THAN HE COULDN'T BE THE SAVIOR!!

As Corrosion EAC said, Bible mentions that Jesus cursed the fig tree but NOT that he ever laughed.

I suppose it is cos laughter could be seen as a part of enjoyment and, as far as the Wowsers* are concerned, we are not here to enjoy ourselves.

*The Australian writer C.J. Dennis defined it thus: 'Wowser: an ineffably pious person who mistakes this world for a penitentiary and himself for a warder'.

Oh yes... He is known to have a cynic laugh... check this sweet story told by Jesus!

Luke 16:23-25-NIV (Jesus is telling us…) AND BEING IN TORMENTS IN HELL, he* (*a rich man in Hell) lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; FOR I AM TORMENTED IN THIS FLAME.’(and Jesus all excited continues the story telling…) But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and YOU ARE TORMENTED! (Hey, these are words of Sweet Jesus… he will enjoy watching the Christians teasing those in HELL!)

He laughed whenever he imagined people being tortured for eternity. He actually had a really profound sense of humor.

There is NO Scriptural basis for this!

Jesus was human. Of course He laughed!
