How many agree that because Christians have a violent past in conquering other lands, that Muslims today?

Even tho Christianity renounces the sins of the past and no longer carries on Crusades and Inquisitions and slavery, don't you think that Muslims, who were 'peaceful' throughout history, should now be given their turn?
Most Muslims believe that and I am beginning to wonder. Turn about is fair play, right? What's good for the goose is good for the gander, right?
Should not we allow them to for once rape, pillage and murder like dead people did many years ago??????

It may be an idiotic question, but that's usually how some Muslims reply to any question about the violence of Islam. It's their reasoning and I just wonder how many agree with it?

No. I'm sure your mother told you that two wrongs don't make a right.

If mankind's sense of humanity hasn't improved since the Crusades, which you seem to agree with, then by all means, they have just as much right as the Crusaders did.

But that isn't true. People have become better because people now have a sense of how valuable a life is, as opposed to medieval times when life was so bad that people didn't want to live anyway.

What you're saying is that people should just sit back and let the Muslims rape and pillage all they want because the Crusaders did the same thing a thousand years ago? That's ridiculous.

Muslims were never peaceful. The crusades were a misled reaction to Muslim attacks upon Christians going to worship.
Islam began by war, the Arabs attacked the Greek speaking people of the Eastern Roman Empire. More recently the Ottoman empire invaded Europe as far as Vienna and those people have only been freed in modern times.
Now in the twenty first century people need to learn to live together in peace. The old bad ways of revenge and an eye for an eye will not work. The alternative is nuclear annihilation.

The entire Judeo/Christian/Muslim history is full of war, savagery, rape, and butchery.
Not one of these religions has a clean past.
The "good guys" were the winners who wrote the history, which made the others the "bad guys.'
The Israelites conquered their land and stole it from the people living there because God told them to do it.
The Christians killed Jews and Muslims in the name of God.
The Muslims conquered much of the Mediteranean area and converted many people at the point of the sword.
I guess no religion is more guilty than the others, or more innocent.

There are well laid out theological edicts in the proper and legitimate conduct of War, in Islamic Texts. Not permissible is rape,pillage,plunder,inquisition, and the prisoners may work their way to freedom or a ransom money be recived for freeing the prisoners.
