For as long as the world has had "those" in power forcing their beliefs on others, there have been wars. Religious, government, tribal, etc. The US is forcing their belief in democracy on the middle east countries. They are fighting back. Same thing when christians force their beliefs on atheists or pagans, etc. The atheists, pagans, etc. fight back. On this site it is the war of the words. In the middle east it is a war with weapons. People do things without thinking through the consequences of their actions.......... Martyrism isn't all that it's cracked up to be. They can justify their use of nuclear weapons because it is a sacrifice for the greater good. Too bad they won't think it all the way through and realize what good is the greater good when there is nothing left!

Ever since the first use of a weapon of mass destruction, in the waning days of the second World War, the world has been in a constant state of impending doom. The situation with Iraq, and the upcoming situation with Iran, only proves that the world is correct.
It has nothing to do with religion. People kill people for different reasons, and I highly doubt that religion has ever been the sole reason for a war.
When mankind witnessed the first ever test of the atomic bomb, he realized that he had just invented the means of his own destruction.

the Iranian regime is hell bent on getting nukes. once they get them, they'll not keep them idle very long, but let one of their sponsored terror organizations detonate it at the place where it will cause the greatest harm.
the Iranian regime is a risk to the Middle east and to the world. they should get knocked about before they become too dangerous.
and as usual, all the Arab heroic neighbors turn pale when threatened, take off their shoes and get ready to run.
it is the first time that Arab countries and Israel are on the same side, although most Arabs will choke and not admit it.

Try asking the Iranians that, they have madmen for rulers that might just try doing something with nukes. No sane person, including the Israelis, would launch a nulcear strike unless they thought that there was an eminate threat that couldn't be resolved by some other means, including a surgical non nulcear strike. (That has been done several times before)

The world as we know it is predestined to end. It doesn't matter what any religion does there are prophecies that are being fullfilled as we speak. There will be a second coming of Christ and unless you repent and accept Jesus Christ into your heart and life then you ain't seen nothing yet!

The best thing for the Middle East would be for Iran to gain possession of deliverable nuclear weapons. This would bring about some measure of balance of power in the region. Right now Israel-US is the neighborhood bully, and the cause of most problems in the area. This problem needs to be solved first, and the best way to solve it is to confront Israel with a force sufficient to destroy it. Having done that, the jewish state will be forced to end its decades-old policy of genocide, terror, aggression and occupation.
So for Iran to possess nuclear arms is not necessarily a bad thing. It could well restore a measure of peace and sensibility to the Middle East.

When your religion makes you a martyr for killing and you only have virgins waiting in the afterlife sure world destruction is not a problem.

Hey, look! Everyone in the world is out of step ... except the Americans!
The question that you really need to ask, child, is "Why is Bush trying to start wars with everyone?"
