for those who believe that your religion is true above all others, why?
no matter what you say your book has inside it, it is false or half truths. man wrote it, not god. so besides having a book in whatever religion that you have, what makes it the true religion?

i believe the church of christ is bogus, you claim peace now only because people with power and laws that can be inforced keep you from doing what your people have done in the past, read your history, your church is brutal.

if i were god, i wouldve let the whole world know at the same time in one voice so there would be no mistakes, and every thousand years i would speak out the word of peace again so that countries would not go to war over non-sense

islam and Mohammad is in a book, if muhammad didnt write it, then someone else did, if allah/god/etc wrote it, i think they would make it a little more dramatic and believable. i need something more then a book to make me believe that there is a true religion, i need more.

I'm a pantheist, we don't have a book. We believe in What Is. So it's true. Hard to deny the existence of the Universe.

Instead of making up stuff about it, we just take it as it is. What makes it true is that it is real.

The universe is not something that consciousness defines, rather, it is something that defines consciousness. The idea that consciousness pervades the universe is not new. The Greek philosopher, Heraclitus, believed that a non-human intelligence, or the Logos ordered everything. For Heraclitus, all the discrete elements of the world were organized into a coherent whole. The Stoics, picking up on this idea, turned the Logos into God—the God that is the source of all rationality. Can the Logos be equated with the universe and all its elements today? In my religion there is a great big "yes" to that question. All language, feeling, belief, and divinity is a product of that same Logos.

You say that men wrote the bible, that is true, but they did nothing until God told them to, Even John the Revelator was about to write what those 7 thunders said & God told John write it not, but seal it up until the end, The same thing was also told to Daniel to seal it up until the endtime. So men wrote what God led them to write & what God did not want writen but to seal it up until the end, That sounds very good to me that God told them what to write, Now as far as what Religion is Truth, I go by what the Apostles of old wrote & believed. And what the Apostles wrote they were so sure that even Apostle Paul (which he was not one of the original Apostles) said if anyone or an angel from heaven come unto you & preach unto you ANY OTHER GOSPEL then what we have preached let him be accursed.

If you open your question with a statement that anyone who claims that their book is written by man, and not God, aren't you automatically disregarding anything said as an answer?

Please, ask questions to recieve answers, not simply to be impolite.

As for an actual answer: Faith. All things come down to faith in the end.

The true religion is the church that Jesus built. The church that he taught to his apostles so they could spread the good news to all the world. It was started in the book of Acts on Pentecost. The Apostolic church is the true church because its the church Jesus began w/ his apostles. Acts 2:38-9 tells us the simple plan of salvation.
