You're right! I don't know how atheists can live in a worldview that's constantly shifting around like that. THEY COULD LIVE THEIR WHOLE LIVES BELIEVING THE WRONG THINGS!

The Bible is based on previously written works written by the Jews. The translations of the Bible into different languages has actually changed some of the meanings of the words. The King James Bible was DELIBERATELY changed to prevent a civil war in England between Catholics and Protestants. Thus, saying that the Bible "does not change" is at best, inaccurate. Also, there were stories of saviours and messiahs BEFORE the New Testament was written.
As to the facts of evolution changing over the years, that is a part of the process of science - the facts are SUPPOSED to change over the years as the understanding of them changes. Darwin had no information on DNA and how it PROVES that he actually was right (although he may have gotten some of the details wrong this doesn't mean that the overall concept is wrong).
Did you happen to see the PBS "Frontline" episode that actually PROVED that "Intelligent Design" really was Creationism only worded differently? Did you see how they called a PASTOR IN A CHURCH an "atheist" because he had the guts to stand up to this kind of nonsense? Did you notice that the ENTIRE school board was kicked out of office by the town because they aren't interested in having someone's arrogant religious opinion shoved down their throats in an attempt to undermine the teaching of science?
BTW: I'm not an atheist, and you and your kind are going to continually lose this kind of argument because it has no REASONING behind it - only blind belief in what YOU think, with NO PROOF. Have a nice day!

the central theme of evolution is still the same as it was when darwin proposed it: life evolves and changes to fit its environment. the facts accumulate and the ideas of how the process works are modified. this is science not religious dogma. and the facts have probably been updated less than the bible has had re-edits.

For most of that 1400 years the message was constant - do what I say and worship whom I say or you are dead, probably slaughtered or burned at the stake. That keeps people in line. It doesn't make it right, but then when has that ever bothered a fundie.

And you think that having no new thoughts, and learning nothing new for 1400 years is a good thing?
In what way?

I thought the book had changed languages at least four times, and contains self-contradictory messages throughout?
Fallen man might need a savior. I don't consider myself fallen, though. That's your delusion, not mine.

And you think it's a failing that science adjusts to accommodate new facts?
How odd of you. You prefer a consistent falsehood to a self-correcting truth.
