A bite injury ALWAYS causes infection and this dog needs antibiotics. If there are only puncture wounds it is likely not broken but can swell up very large and is painful. You need to call a vet. If you can not afford to take the dog in, they 'might' be willing to sell you a 10 day supply of antibiotics with out seeing the dog if you explain what happened and describe the wounds. In any case.. do not put this off. It is a very serious injury no matter what.

Take it to the vet. It could be swollen from a dog bite that ruptured a blood vessel and the blood is pooling up in the leg. Take it to the vet.

I am not one who usually says rush to the vet. This time I say take the dog to the vet. Swelling means something is wrong. It can not be diagnosed on line, only by examining the dog. Hopefully it isn't anything serious.

YOUR DOG NEEDS TO SEE A VET. AFTER A FIGHT THERE IS ALWAYS A POSS OF INJURY. THE LEG COULD HAVE A TORN MUSCLE OR TENDONS OR IT COULD BE BROKEN. IF THE SKIN WAS TORN THEN IT COULD GET INFECTED TOO. IF YOU WANT TO BE AN ANIMAL OWNER THEN TAKE THE RESPONSIBLITY. PLEASE TAKE HIM TO THE VET.
