I want to know is it ok to hug danish girls when you say hello or goodbye? For me this is normal, but since moving here to Denmark I noticed girls tend to shake hands rather than hug. I dont mind shaking hands but it seems so formal. Thanks.

Try to find infromation in research the culture of Danish women so you better shake their hands instead of hugging (if they know you of course). Enjoy.

It is common to rise when being introduced to someone, and to shake hands with both men and women. Handshakes are firm but brief. When greeting a couple, it is customary to shake hands with the woman first.
Your colleague will usually shake your hand when leaving as well.
Danes say the traditional greeting heij, which sounds exactly like the America.-i "Hi," when both greeting and departing.
The common U.S. greeting "Hi, how are you?" will lead a Dane to think you really want to know how he or she is doing. A preferable greeting would be "Hi, I'm pleased to meet you."

It all depends. If you are close friends, then hugging is appropriate for hello and goodbye. If you have just met, are merely colleagues or aquaintances, you shake hands.

greet them like anyone else. do you hug anyone if you dont know them well? no you dont. and you just moved to denmark so you do not know anyone there well enough yet to hug them. get real and grow up.
