Alas, I have just spent 1/2 hour searching for your watercolorist, but have turned up empty handed. I, too, paint in watercolor, so I was interested in seeing this person's work.
Perhaps if you contacted the gallery in B.C. from which you purchased the paintings, they may be able to point you in the right direction. Best wishes.

Hi! I found references to Alexander Sutherland - British Columbia - Artist, teacher of painting.. who was actively working in 1973.... though no images. Perhaps you can track his information with the help of these links or through the Federation of Canadian Artists: fcaoffice@artists.ca. Hope this helps!
