Okay...I am leaving for the Navy soon...I box and I am pretty dedicated at the sport...How in the hell do I keep up my boxing career in the Navy? I know Annapolis is like a thing people go to for sports and stuff...I need to continue my legacy in the ring!!!!! Tell me how do I get there before it is too late?

umm, Annapolis is the Military Academy. if you are accepted there, you MIGHT have a chance at playing during your Midshipman years, but don't count on it.

as for enlisting: forget it. won't happen, at least not in the way you think it might. any extracurricular activities would be done on your OWN time, and you do not have much of that, at least at first. Not at all during Boot and A school. after you hit the Fleet, you will be expected to get Qual'd before you even THINK about doing other stuff

While there is a Fleet Wide Boxing team( yes, some of them have competed at the Olympics).. you must be Olympics level to even THINK about trying to get in, and your Command must allow you the time to do it. I can almost guarantee it will NOT happen during your first term of enlistment.

Boxing will ALWAYS be secondary to your military duties. ALWAYS.

Last I knew, Boxing was a required intramural sport at Annapolis.
