Of course we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. If it had not been for the Catholic church there would be no Christians because the message was given to the world through the early church, but that's another story...
Mary was/is the mother of Jesus. He loves her and, in fact, God chose her to be his mother. Because of this honor bestowed upon her by God we also honor her. We do not WORSHIP her. Worship is due to God alone.

We don't worship the Virgin Mary. We don't think she is God. We don't think she is more important than Jesus. We totally accept Jesus as Lord.

Images and icons of Mary are bowed down to in a worshipful attitude, and in official church doctrine, she is referred to as “the Virgin Mary Theotokos.” The word the·o·to′kos means “God-bearer” or “mother of God.”
However, the word the·o·to′kos does not appear in the inspired Scriptures. And nowhere does the Bible say that Mary was the “mother of God.” Jesus did not teach it, nor did first-century Christians. Furthermore, the Bible plainly shows that Jesus was not God Almighty in human form but was God’s Son. Indeed, when Mary was notified by an angel that she would bear a son, she was told: “Holy spirit will come upon you, and power of the Most High will overshadow you. For that reason also what is born will be called holy, God’s Son.” (Luke 1:35) So Jesus was God’s Son, not God himself in human form. Hence, Mary was the mother of God’s son Jesus, not the mother of God in human form. That is why neither Jesus nor his disciples ever called Mary the “mother of God.”
Pope Pius IX is quoted as concluding his definition of the dogma of Mary’s immaculate conception with the words: “Let the children of the Roman Catholic Church . . . proceed to worship, invoke and pray to the Blessed Virgin Mary.”
To claim that Mary was the “mother of God” elevates her to a position where humans would tend to worship her, and that is what has happened for centuries. Hundreds of millions of people in many lands have prayed to her or through her and have given worshipful devotion to images and icons of her. While theologians may try to excuse this by saying that such veneration of Mary is only an indirect way of worshiping God, that is not the way God views it. “There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 2:5; 1 John 2:1, 2) Jesus himself said: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6.

CATHOLICS DO NOT WORSHIP MARY.
How many times do you people have to be told.Even some Atheists know the answer. Doesn't that show your ignorance?
EDIT.... Mary is the MOTHER of Jesus. Jesus is GOD. Mary is the MOTHER of GOD. Mary is the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION.
Fatima.1916 "I am the Immaculate Conception"
She was conceived and sanctified for the Divine purpose.Mary's parents were old and barren. God is responsible for Mary's conception, not her parents .That is why she was free of original sin.God exalted Mary above the Angels and made her Queen of Heaven. This is Catholic Dogma which non-Catholics refuse to believe.God is resposible for Mary's apparitions where she asks us to return to God. Mary said :"I will convert sinners. I am the Mother of God. I am The Queen of Heaven"( non-believers take note, these words were SPOKEN by MARY!!!! )

Catholics pay homage to the Virgin Mary, they do not 'worship' her. They think that Mary was born without 'original sin' and is worthy of praise through prayer directly to her for 'intercession' during a crisis or hardship.

Catholic Christians do accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
We do not worship Mary or any other saint.
+ Saints +
Catholics share the belief in the Communion of Saints with many other Christians, including the Eastern Orthodox, Anglican, Episcopal, and Methodist Churches.
The Communion of Saints is the belief where all saints are intimately related in the Body of Christ, a family. When you die and go to heaven, you do not leave this family.
Everyone in heaven or on their way to heaven are saints, you, me, my deceased grandmother, Mary the mother of Jesus, Mother Teresa and Pope John Paul II.
As part of this family, you may ask your family and friends living here on earth to pray for you. Or, you may also ask the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Andrew, or your deceased grandmother living in heaven to pray for you.
Prayer to saints in heaven is simple communication, not worship.
Asking others to pray for you whether your loved ones on Earth or your loved ones in heaven is always optional.

+ The Blessed Virgin Mary +
"Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you" (Luke 1:28)
"Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb" (Luke 1:42).
In Luke 1:48, Mary prophesied: "From henceforth all generations shall call me blessed."
The Hail Mary prayer simply recites Bible passages (the Word of God) and asks Mary to pray for us:
Hail Mary Full of grace, the Lord is with you. (These are the words the angel Gabriel said to Mary, a Bible quote.)
Blessed are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. (This is Mary's cousin Elizabeth's greeting, another bible quote.)
Holy Mary, (The angel Gabriel said she was full of grace and Elizabeth said she was blessed.)
Mother of God, (the Bible says Mary is the mother of Jesus Christ, God the Son)
Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. (A simple request to pray for us.)
Amen.

A question for Christians who take the Bible literally: Do you call Mary "blessed"? If not, why?
+ With love in Christ.

I was born from Above - Nativity of Mary
MARY: I was born of God through Him, with Him and in Him, Heaven's Flower, chosen among all flowers. I had to be born on this Earth so as to teach you, all the splendors of Heaven, the very seed of all life, the one unique seed through which the entire Universe was born.
I was chosen by the Father, destined to be the Princess who would offer to the World, His Only Son, King of the Universe. Giving to the world, God become man, that was the whole Mystery of God being revealed, Divinity becoming human.
God, who blooms like a flower, opens up in order to reveal to us the Holy Trinity, starting with making Himself visible: "Whoever sees Me, sees My Father". Through My Fiat, I was to receive Him who is the Image of God, our Father. And, through My Child, give to each of the Father Creator's children, the very prototype of the man called one day to become the Son of God, to live in this World made New. Humanity will become divine.
When seeing JESUS Christ, you will become similar to Him. That glorious future, by accepting the Spirit of God by My FIAT, I already had it within Me.
I am MARY Most Holy, the Divine Immaculate Conception, asking you to accept with all your heart, the great and total Purification. You will thus become Immaculate able to bear JESUS in you and sing with JESUS and MARY:
"Through Him, with Him and in Him, to You, God the Almighty Father in the Unity of the Holy Spirit, all Honour and Glory forever and ever! Amen."
Your Divine Mother,
Mother of God and of Men.
† † †
To JESUS and to MARY forever
JESUS: The Eternal King had chosen to come down on the Earth. From all eternity He lived with the Holy Spirit in the Father, forming only One God even though they were Three.
"Who sees Me sees My Father"
"And the Earth needs to know God".
The Word became Flesh and lived among mankind. Such was God's Holy Will: to give to His creatures of the Earth, His Only Son as the first link of the chain, so as to elevate, degree by degree, the children of the Earth in a spiritual evolution, surpassing the First Creation in order to attain, in this 8th Day, this New Earth with the New Heavens promised by Christ Himself. It was necessary that the First of the line be JESUS Christ, Only Son of the Father, that is, God become Man Himself. This is Jacob's Ladder being presented to you.
So I took Flesh from the Virgin MARY. From all eternity, the Hand of God had already fashioned Her like the Image of God made Man, in order to receive the Seed of Life. The Divine Potter, in His Holy Will, did not use clay as He did with the first couple. MARY is the very Life of God of this completed Creation.
"You must be born from Above." I am from Above, the Original Virginal Waters, from far-away Eternity created by God. That is why MARY did not have to be reborn from Above, in order to enter directly into the Kingdom of God where She is Queen. Her spirit is Spirit. Her glorified and divine flesh in Anne's womb, Her mother who, purified by God, received the Spirit to give Life to MARY.
Why doubt when God tells you that your destiny is to live with Him, you are the children of God, destined to live in His Kingdom.
Your Lord JESUS
Your Creator God † Amen.
JESUS Christ.
