Well having studied and having faith in Our Creator I can debate the issue on both sides but personally I think that the trinity teaching has some problems. We need to look at how the teaching came into being. I Think this text copied in part from http://troach.org/faith/oneorthree.htm gives a good summary of how the teaching got started:
--- begin copy ---
The following is from a Pentecostal church information text might shed the most light when it comes to explaining why it is so often taught that Jesus is one in the same as The Father and The Holy spirit. (The Pentecostal church teaches that The Father, Son, and Holy spirit are one in the same.)
. . .
As early Christians were beginning to collect writings which would make up the New Testament. They encountered passages such as St. John, chapter seventeen, where Jesus prays to be glorified with the glory that He shared with the Father before the world was. They heard the words of John, chapter one, where the Apostle tells us that the Logos7 was both “with” and “was” God. They heard the benedictions in their services, which were read from the writings of the apostles, invoking Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Even more of a problem were passages such as the one from Peter’s sermon at Pentecost: “This Jesus, being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, has shed forth this which you both see and hear.”
Sincere brethren of the early church attempted to resolve the issue in a number of councils where local churches sent delegates to consider the matters at hand and to reach an understanding. They wished for all churches to speak with one voice in doctrines involving the nature of Christ.
The outcome of the councils was a series of creedal statements. In several of these, they chose to use the word “persona” or prosopon (Latin and Greek). They said that there is but “one God in three ‘personae,’ Father, Son and Holy Spirit.” These creeds, as expressed in their original languages, should not present any Christian with insurmountable difficulty. However, down through the centuries there have been misunderstandings within the Church regarding the interpretations of the creeds.
. . .
To me that seems to indicate that it was a political decision by some of the early groups to teach that the Father, The Holy spirit and Jesus are one in the same. I believe that taking a “vote” to decide how scripture should be interpreted and presented does not automatically mean that the correct interpretation will be presented. Especially, when at the time, saying or implying anything different from the accepted interpretations of scripture could have meant having charges of blasphemy being placed against you.
There will likely be debates on this subject until we each finally make it to the other side and each see for ourselves if Jesus is also The Father and the Holy Ghost or not. I can only tell you what I believe and why. I cannot tell you what you should or should not believe. For it is, ultimately, up to each one of us to read, study, learn, and most importantly listen to our own heart/soul while deciding for ourselves what is correct.
- - - end copy ---
As for me I think as long as we are trying our best to do what is right in the eyes of Our Creator, He is not going to be overly critical to us if we are mistaken on some points as long as what is in our heart and soul is sincerely trying to follow him.
I will also add this comment when it come to what most people think about our Creator:
Never confuse the practices of the people with the church,
Never confuse the practices of the church with religion,
And Never Ever confuse the practices of religion with God.
All the best to you,
And may Our Creator bless and watch over you and your family.

If they want to call themselves Christians let it be. The problem is they don't know the same Christ as those who worship him as part of the Godhead. Some say He's Michael the Archangel, others say he's the brother of Satan, and still others refer to Him as just another prophet. These are different Jesus's than the one I know and worship. My Jesus, the Biblical Jesus referred to himself as I Am just as his Father did before him from the burning bush.

I am not God.
Therefore, I cannot say if someone is a follower of Christ or not.
I believe that the doctrine of the Trinity is truth. If I did not think it was right, I would not believe it.
To do otherwise is insanity!

What ever they want to call themselves. JWs are Russelites and LDS are Mormons. Neither are Christian. Why do they want a name of something they are not?
JWs could go by the name Arianism or followers of Arius. You may have to look this one up.

Obviously, they're not Christians. To be a Christian you have to believe that God was offended by man's original sin, that was when Adam and Eve ate the strawberry when the talking pony deceived them, and that the only way God could save you was to pour out his wrath on himself.
I know it sounds stupid. What can I say, I didn't write the book.

Haven't you realized that "Christian" is a subjective term? Each group of Christians is independent, and establishes their own definition of the word.

Yes, but they're misled Christians. What makes one a Christian is his or her belief in Christ.

Trinity as the Rom.an Catholic Church termed it to be in one God is not in the bible. It is not trinity but 3 embodiment of one God

They are correct. Jesus confirmed that He and The Holy Spirit were created in The Apocryphon of John. You are very wrong about the god of the o.t., however, he is not GOD the Father of Jesus. Be smart, believe Jesus, not Moses.
