Take a walk outside, look at nature, cuddle an animal/child, listen to Mendelsohn, play the piano, watch a Jane Austen movie...

Like dreams, God helps me take my mind to places with strong imaging. Sometimes I go to Saturns Ring and sit and watch the universes colors to just still my mind OR I go wash my Camaro out in the middle of a daisy field in the sunshine. I adore going to the beach and watching how immense the waters are and to wonder if even God knows how many grains of sand are running through my fingers. I also imagine thunder and lightening storms which is ironic and beautiful because of how storms that powerful could calm storms of my mind. I also like to sleep when it's a boring place to be on Earth because the Dreamweaver allows me these strange places and incredible positions to be placed in the Dreamworld which have never been stressful. Just like pictureshows of the mind.

i suffer from depression and a good place my pshcologist told me to go to was: shut your eyes, and think that you are walking through a big open paddock......, you see a gate at the far end and you seem like you floating up to it, through the sweet smelling flowers and the sun hittting your skin, you ope the little gate and follow a small path to a cave . this isnt an ordinary cave its your cave and you can make it look like whaterver you want it to, this is a place where you can go and have time out and you can only invite people you want to come in and there is a special lock so that no bad people that may hurt you can.
This really works for me when im stressed about school, friends, family anything at all. it just mkes you feel like its your special place and noone can ruin it for you, i hope this help :)

I depend on God for my peace. That doesn't mean that it is easy but it can be done. I have to pray. Which for the secular world is like meditation. I find that I am most stressed when I try to control everything. That just isn't possible. For me I have to remember that God is in control and the more I depend on Him the less stress I feel. It's not always easy but that's what's works for me.

Sit in your room, lay down on the bed, and listen to soothing music or which ever that usually calms you down.
Personally I think music best helps in a stressful situation, and can help rest your mind.

Try going for a walk. When you are walking, just try to focus on breathing and that you are walking, nothing else. When you start to think about what is stressing you out, and then realize it, just go back to focusing on your breath and the walk.

if you can lie down and make sure it is quiet. take a couple of deep breaths from your stomach not your chest through your nose. start from your feet and tense them. hold for 10 seconds than relax and say to yourself "relax and let go"when breathing out. tense your thighs and do the same thing, then your bum muscles then your stomach then screw your face up then your arms. each time say to yourself relax and let go while breathing out. each time you do it you will feel yourself relax and feel heavy. you may even feel asleep. if you are still tense start again. take the time to do this and it will work for you.
