Krishna = Karma & Love.
Then Shiva = Life.
There is a saying in Tamil. If there is no Shiva u are a Shava( Corpse). So Shiva is the Soul and Life of all this universe.

The ever lasting and irreplaceable cycle of destruction when decay and vile thoughts become inherent in all things alive.Many may call Shiva the destroyer,but I regard him as the person who cleanses the earth of all flaws and sins to make it a place fit to be inabited.
Therefore,
if Krishna=Karma and love,
Shiva=The final phase of karma and the most indecipherable love for prithvi.

Brahma, Vishnu [thus Krishna], Shiva abedham -there is no difference. The difference appears only from limited perspectives. To be specific about the perspective ordinarily taken, though, Shiva=karma and prana, intelligence and energy.

The question is important in religion. The Hinduism properly classified God into three Categories. Lord Brahma:Who has given birth of our universe: Lord Vishnu: Who ask for Karma(actions) and Love: that is universe is protected by Lord Vishnu: Lord Shiva: who is worshiped as Lord of Death(Destroyer) Who has power to alter the death. Hinduism further says All these Lords are one. Thus do not think that who is greater or less. The word "AUM" OR"OM" designated by three Lords as given Above. Thanks to the questioner to ask interesting for Hinduism

Shiva is the most misunderstood living entity. He is higher than all other Jiva souls (That's us) But he is not completely God. He is a very difficult personality to understand for most. People either take him to be God or to be a demi God. He has more qualities of God than any other living being but He does not have all of the qualities of God. He is the Topmost Vaisnava. His meditation is always on the pastimes of God (Krishna, Rama, Vishnu.) So we should take him to be our Guru and follow in Lord Shiva's footsteps and always meditate on the name, form, qualities and attributes of Krishna, Then our life will be perfect. These statements come from Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada not of my own concoction. For info read Srimad Bhagavatam By Bhaktivedanta Prabhpuada srimadbhagavatam.org/...

The three Gods of Brahma , Vishnu and Shiva are the three aspects of the same God .
They are creation , sustenance and annihilation.
The annihilation does not mean total extinction.
The extinction is for re-creation afresh .
the Creation also does not mean creating something out of nothing .It is making something out of what is there.Matter is there in he universe always . It is made into all that is the universe .What has been created is sustained by the aspect of protection , by Vishnu and finally the matter that is made into things and protected for some time till the time comes for annihilation.Then they are annihilated and recycled into something new .so the three processes continue in a cycle .

Shiva is benevolent. Never fails to give a boon on Parvati's recommendations. My absolute favourite. No wonder young unmarried girls pray to him to get a husband like him!
He has great sense of humour too. Remember how he turned up with his companions all dressed in a weird garb on his own wedding day! Now whoever does that except only an absolutely wacky darling.
His wrath is to be feared though. The Taandav and opening of 'teesra Netra' i.e. third eye for upheaval and destruction when necessary.
He is a complete package. To describe him in one word is impossible but if you insist I would equate him with 'STRENGTH'....
