Unless they are dead, there is no time limit. All we can say is that they have given up, but they will inevitably cross sooner or later. I tell them to rest.

I am interested in another aspect, nearly the reverse of what you are asking.
It comes from my observation that there are quite a few spiritual people who have quit, but they don't know that they have quit. They are only five feet from the finish line, but they don't realize this because 'they think' they've finished. It then boils down to the difficulty of going beyond one's perception and identification with oneself. So many people are so close to finishing, it's just a single thread that needs to be seen and broken so that they can let go of being the container. This came up in the other thread, woe to those who are flesh but know not the soul, and woe to those who know the soul but not the flesh. Some people are blind to who they are, but others do so much work and come to realize they are more than just the body. But then they become attached to themselves as 'pure awareness', causing a split from their body. Thus, an integration can't happen. I really want to do something about this, to find out what I can tell them, but at the moment I don't know what it is.
I feel in Phae's response there is a clue, that if one can express themselves in an essential way to another, then in affect one is making an 'essential touch' with them. If we can engage the structure and energy (body and spirit) of the other with the body and spirit of oneself, then information can be shared.

I'm not sure as I'm not near there yet. I still feel like quitting...oh how I wish I can quit. But my fear of having even more bad karma is preventing me from quitting. It's like I'm running and it's so darn tiring that I want to quit but I have this fear that if I do quit I'll have to start from square one again, no matter what.
I don't know how to put that in words. I guess, "And to the one that endures, I will give you the finish line." Or in other words, "I will give you the power to your own ending."
That would be nice if I can write the last chapter of my life the way I want it to be.

I as you know Sunman am a little on the dark side. I understand the spirit of your question and it is good. You and some others will understand my answer but others may not. With that said, "I will give you more to endure, and more, until you discover it's all just a game of hide-n-seek". : )

Nothing...I will not need to give you anything. You will have earned all you need when you cross that finish line. What stops you? You do, you need to figure out why. Then you will truly have won...in so many ways.

Take a breath.
Feel the pain and fear you are experiencing right now. Feel it and let it settle.
Relax.
There really is a 'there' to get to.
You're almost there.
Hold my hand.
Now!
Forward!
EDIT
Pottering around the house, vacuuming, I realise that I STILL need people to say that to me.
