As Salaamu Alaykum,

What comes to my mind is death and the punishment of the grave and the Hellfire & Paradise. Whenever I think of the grave I ask Allah for forgiveness because I know that is where I will be going one day and I want to be prepared for it.

I pray that Alah blesses me & you to go to Jannah . . . Ameen.

Ma'a Salaamah

"We've got to hold this river crossing at Grave to pass the Irish Guards armor on towards Nijmegen. The British at Arnhem are dug-in at the bridge but, unless relieved, many of them will only have dug their own graves."

It depends on how it's pronounced, or the context.
It might be a town in the Netherlands (Gr-AH-ve).
Serious, critical :of a situation.
Serious, sombre: of a facial expression.
A hole in the ground intended for a dead body.
(originally "to cut" hence "engrave": cut into, "graven image": manufactured idol)
