If you like to read, and you want to learn more, start getting Sylvia Browne's books. "Phenomenon", for you, would be the best to start out with, she explains a lot of things that you are interested in, or even go to her website, just to check it out. www.sylvia.org. her books, she has like 50 of them now. That way I won't have to write a book trying to explain it all to you.lol. And most of her older books you can find on amazon.com. go to her site first, she explains herself. Novus Spiritus is her study group, or her church I guess you say. She is the one on Montel Williams on Wednesdays.

I consider myself an individual spiritualist as I feign from organized religions that are far from tailor made yet I practice
meditation and observe an ethical or moral stance .
Their is something to be said for one on one communication as contrasted to a group or mob psychology and I don't subscribe to the tenets of theism and hence couldn't in all honesty follow the rules of most formal religions without being a hypocrite or a liar of some kind. i do still leave room for others beliefs as to avoid bigotry and retain an open mind within reason.

I usually lump spiritualists into the parapsychology. Pretty much they believe in spirits living on a higher plane (for some, this may be the Astral Plane).

There are sometimes contact like when you hear knocking on a door but no one's there.

They practice different things. It's more of an individual belief system than you'd see in a traditional church.

If you have a local Spiritualist Church around, you should check it out.
