you have to have a tuner card or some card in your computer to plug the cable into. most computer stores carry them but the local stores are cheaper.thats both cable and card unless you get them from ebay

A lot of new computers have DVI outputs. So you need a DVI to HDMI cable.

Monoprice and BlueJeans are good places for long cables.
