That could be quite a range of difference size animals, some hogs are just huge, and I would not want to use the same guns with a huge hogs as with the goats. If I was going to suggest a few I would say 30/30 or 30-06, maybe a 7mm-08. 30-06 would offer you the best range of bullet options for large and small animals.

You cant shoot a pig or goat with a 30-06 unless you want half the animal left.... you need a smaller less powerful rifle.... a 22-250 will be perfect for a pig or goat..... even a 30-30 will do too much damage to a pig.....

There's no best. Lots of calibers will do the job at any reasonable range. 308, 30-06, 270, 284. All good enough. Even 303s will do the job perfectly well. Sorry, I've left out about another 50 entirely adequate calibers.
I assume this is in Australia, so you aren't tied to the old US military caliber. So just go for whatever is easy to get in your area.

Why the 600 nitro express should do it! Joke.
The others are right. A good all around gun is the good ol' 30-06. Ammo found world wide.

There is no best. Even a .22LR round through the brain will drop them like a rock.
