What kind of answer does this asker want? I've read through all the answers, and everyone who has answered it correctly has received bad votes, and almost none of them have received good votes. However, the only three answers I saw which did receive good votes were all incorrect or ludicrous answers.
The truth is, that God is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost (or Holy Spirit.) They are all part of the Godhead, and are all God. The difference is that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, proceeds from the Father, and gives glory unto Him, and the Holy Spirit, proceeds from the Son, and gives glory unto Him, so that the Father is glorified above all.

Mark 12:29
"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.
What they have done is take on different roles. Jesus the Redeemer, the Father is the Ancient of Days, the Holy Spirit the Counselor to be on Earth while Jesus is ruling with all Power and Authority in Heaven.
And that's saying a lot! lol

I'm not an expert to this , however I might as well answer this because I'll take it an insult in my part if I cant even explain it in my own understanding, because I do believe on it.
Those are the 3 persona of GOD - God the father, God the SON , and God the Holy Spirit . God is powerful and He is the Father of all mankind. He is in heaven above. God the Son is the God humbled Himself for the love of mankind. He became amongst our ancestors. God the Holy spirit the God who is left for us on earth after God the Son had sacrificed Himself to save mankind from sinfulness. The Holy Spirit was the guide that helps the disciples spread the good news.

No, (so some distance as i comprehend) I even have seen the Holy Ghost named that and Holy Spirit. different variations of the bible will reference this as the two. yet as with every non secular subject count, it is open to interpretation.

God is the father, Jehovah....the Creator. Ps. 83:18
Jesus is Jehovah's only-begotten Son. The first of all creation. Colossians 1:16
The holy-spirit is God's active work-force. It's what He uses to carry out all His actions. Also referred to as God's "finger." Ex. 8:19; 31:18, Luke 11:20

If you believe in the trinity, no difference. One person.
If you don't believe in the trinity: God is the Father, Jesus is the Son of God, and the Holy Ghost testifies of them. Seperate beings that are united in purpose.

There is no difference, they are all God.
God is God. Gods word became flesh and walked among us,Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit of God is sent down to help and guide Gods people.

They are different manifestations of the same entity. God is everywhere, omnipresent. Jesus spoke to us in our language, we could touch him, feel him. The Holy Ghost "gets inside" us, it is our actual spiritual connection with God, as in Baptism, we "receive" the Holy Ghost, it "inspires" us.
