There are still hungry people. Was Jesus just a tease?

Flower power: No, I've gone without somedays. And there are people starving right now. Some starve to death. I'm sure they'd like some bread and fish.

Bread and fish will help a person to live another day. The knowledge of Jesus and of God will help a person to live forever.

If you want to look at it that way, I guess you can. I mean, all those 5000 people were probably hungry the next day, right? And every person that Jesus healed of sickness died of something else, right?

Part of the lesson of the temptation stories in the gospels is to define what Jesus' ministry was going to be about, or what it was going to be defined by. And Jesus made a point of saying his ministry wasn't going to be about feeding people, it wasn't going to be about miracles, it wasn't going to be about an earthly kingdom or empire. All of those things are a part of his ministry, but they're not the defining part. In the end, Jesus' life and ministry is about Love.

Peace to you.

I guess he must have plumb ran out of "miracles about 2000 years ago.

Really must not give a flying 'f' anymore or can't compete with modern day magicians like david copperfield and criss angel both of whom get a whole lot more action than jesus ever dreamed about.

If you are picking that story out of John 6, then look on to the rest of the story.

What Jesus eventually did was offend those people so much that they walked away on their own. He didn't want them around. They didn't want to hear about the Kingdom of God, they were thinking of their bellies.

Now, you were asking?
