Generally, a Kingdom Hall is built without windows only in areas which tend toward hate crimes and vandalism against houses of worship. Sadly, it seems that the questioner is from such an area, and perhaps even more sad that such religious intolerance occurs worldwide.

Perhaps these anti-Witness bigots fail to understand that their vandalism and persecution actually work to help prove that Jehovah's Witnesses are true Christians.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

There's not a lot of truth to that. I've seen several that have windows. The one in our neighborhood has windows.

Anyway, this question has been answered, and here are the main reasons as to why some of the buildings do not have windows:

1. The buildings are paid for by the congregation. Some congregations are poor, so windows are not added to the buildings to cut down on building costs as well as insurance costs.

2. Prevents vandalism and robbery.

3. Windows are not necessary. Jehovah's Witnesses do not go to congregation meetings to look out windows. They go to learn (Maybe this is why they know the Bible better than other professed "Christians") Many of their buildings have windows everywhere except the main auditorium. Since the buildings are usually built near main roads, windows would be a distraction to the audience during the meetings.

The idea that Jehovah's Witnesses do not have windows on their buildings is unfounded. Most of the ones I have seen have windows. Nonetheless, their meetings have always been open to the public. You should go check one out some time. Likely, your ideas about Jehovah's Witnesses will change.

This question is asked allot on here. What's funny is it has a semi false premise. Allot of our buildings DO have windows. Those that don't very in reasons. One Kingdom Hall didn't because it was in a BAD neighborhood. We even had to keep our AC unit in a brick cage.

Because of vandals.People have thrown bricks at the windows in the past. They are not all that way. When I was a child we went to one that was mostly windows all around. You could drive by and see us in there singing or listening to the speaker. As years have gone by though there has been vandalism so they switched to all brick or wood so nobodys kids got hit in the head with a rock.

Because then people would see them brainwashing people. LOL. Actually, it is a matter of practicality. The buildings can be built quicker and cheaper without windows, and they are more energy efficent, since heating and cooling isn't seeping out of the windows.

My Kingdom Hall does have windows. But people in some parts of the world assault us and destory our property. I suspect that has a geal deal to do with it. If you want to see inside your welcome to come in.
