is this girl interested, or just having fun? [17yrs]?

i can't tell if this girl wants to "be friends", or something more serious.

she will always smile and wave at me when ever i see her in the halls.

and during the break between third and fourth period classes, (my school only has four periods) she ALWAYS sits with me, and my friends.
she will always sit next to me, and say "he's mine" to other girls in a joking way, if someone else sits next to me.

the thing is, she loves to point out "oh wow, he's cute" when ever im walking with her.
although afterwards she kind of pauses and looks at me, as if waiting for a response.
i usually just ignore it, because i have no idea how i would respond to that.

buut, i will also see her walking down the halls with other guys, when she is not walking with me.

they aren't the same guys a previously mentioned (the ones she says are cute)

i can't tell if she is just playing mind games, or is actually interested.

i feel like she likes me, but shes very confusing.

any help would be appreciated

I don't think she thinks you're gay. If she did... why would she say, "He's mine." She seems very into you. Girls will sometimes do that crap where they judge another dude just to see how you'll take it.

If you're worried about that whole gay thing (she doesn't think you're gay though)... all you have to do is point out girls you think are hot. And say hey... check out her azz errr... assets. Or whoa... she's a bagger etc. J/K btw... do it however you feel comfortable.

Just have a serious convo with her and see where she's at. If you really like her... make it be known to her in your convo. Based on what she says go from there.

If you want to be more subtle instead of asking her directly if she likes you... ask her who she's into. Or half jokingly say... "What if I asked you out... what would you say?" That way there's less pressure and if she rejects you... just play it off.

Only way she would think that you are gay is if when she's commenting about how hot a dude is and you agree (out loud). LOL... but she doesn't think that (based on what you say). Don't get all self-conscious now. :)

Sounds to me like she really digs you though. Good luck... and ignore what the other chick(s) have said... I really doubt she thinks you're gay.

If she doesn't accidentally think that you're gay, I'd say she likes you.

The joking might be becuase she thinks you're gay or insinuating you're gay and she doesn't think she has to worry.

I'm thinking the only reason she's walking with other guys is because she doesn't want to completely cut off her other friends if she doesn't know how you feel.

The "Oh wow, He's cute" thing? Might just be a test, but a mean one at that. Do it to her once and see if she takes it well.

If you feel like you'd like to get closer to her then try talking to her alone. You can only find out what she wants if you ask.
