pLEASE HELP!!?

i went out with this boy, and after about 4 days (we only saw eachother for 2 days) he broke up with me. and then i found ouot he was cheating on me with another girl who didnt even go to the same school. but thats not the problem. i stopped likeing him 1 day after we broke up because he was starting to get too annoying. and after we broke up he told me he still likes me and i tried to give him hints to let him know i dont like him. i said "well im sorry but i heard so and so liked me" and e said "o okay" and then a few days later i found out that person didnt like me and when i told my ex he said "o well im sorry. he missed out. but you can always go back out with me" and he is always hanging out where i hang out even though he annoys EVERYONE there! and its embarassing! but i still dont want to hurt him. but i do want him to stop and move on! or atleast let him know i dont like him anymore. how do i let him know without hurting him though? HELP!

You are going to have to tell him directly. You can still do it tactfully. Just say something like, "I'm sorry, but I am just not interested in getting back together. You're a nice guy, but I don't think it would work between us." Then make sure you are not giving him ANY signals that indicate you might want to get back together.

This guy obviously likes you so if you drop him hints, he isn't going to get it. He will just read what he wants to hear into your hints. It may still hurt his feelings a little to know you won't get back together, but like everyone who has ever been rejected, he'll recover. Besides, how much did he care about YOUR feelings when he cheated on you and broke up with you??
