Only to show that Jews are a separate people, not to justify harming them like a certain other religion does with their word games.
Why do muslims call me an infidel? Read 8:12 in the koran...

The word gentile is an anglicised version of the Latin word gentilis, meaning of or belonging to a clan or tribe. In the King James Version of the Bible it is used to refer to non-Israelite tribes or nations, as an English translation of the Hebrew words goy/גוי and nochri/נכרי. It is also used to translate New Testament Greek word εθνοι/ethnoi. Today, the primary meaning of gentile is non-Jew.

Depends on the individual. I listened to a speech by a Jewish woman a few years back and she referred to non-Jews as Gentiles.

In Saint Jerome's Latin version of the Bible, the Vulgate, gentilis was used in this wider sense, along with gentes, to translate Greek and Hebrew words with similar meanings that referred to the non-Israelite peoples.

Gentile is just anyone who isn't Jewish.
What does "Kufar" mean, in Islam? Is it a just an innocent term for anyone who isn't Muslim, or does it have a deeper, more sinister meaning, such as "infidel"?

"Gentile" means "person who does not understand that this is the ISRAEL TRAVEL section, not the 'ask Jews random questions' section."
