It all depends on your beliefs.
For some people, it is a horrendous act.
For other people, it is relief and the best thing in the world.
As for confessing, do it only if you feel guilty and need the cleansing.

Prior to Christians changing the define of sin in the 5th cenury, sin originally meant that a person had trangress what they had vowed to their god(s) to uphold. People would go through a religious ceremony in which they would swear to uphold every tenet of their covanent or personal contract with their god(s).
If you couldn't 'do' something, you would leave that tenet out.
Deut 23:21-23 If you make a vow to the LORD your God, do not be slow to pay it, for the LORD your God will certainly demand it of you and you will be guilty of sin. 22 But if you refrain from making a vow, you will not be guilty. 23 Whatever your lips utter you must be sure to do, because you made your vow freely to the LORD your God with your own mouth.
Which is why sinners were so vile in the OT scriptures, a person not only did something 'bad' they had also LIED to their OWN god(s).
When the Christians formed the orthodoxy in the 4th and 5th centuries, they created a kind of 'cookie cutter' religion. The orthodoxy made THIS--the 'right way' and THAT--the 'wrong way'. Things became even MORE muddled with the Puritans adding their concepts with the advent of protestism. Heheheee Sex expecially got a 'bad rap' during the victorian age.
During the Victorian Age, there were even medical doctors saying that a women should not have sex with their husbands more than twice per year...heheheheee. This is also the time when 'table cloths' came into existence, since seeing 'bear legs' on a table were thought to make men insanely 'carnal'.
The history channel has a repeated program on called the 'history of sex', its pretty good, keep an eye out for it.

Depends on your religion. If you believe that sex is a "sin," and you can avoid the penalty for sinning by confessing, then by all means confess. If not, don't worry about it.
My religion doesn't contain the concepts of "sin" or "Hell," so I don't worry about either. Premarital sex, extramarital sex, multiple sex--let the good times roll (just use condoms)!

"Sin" means to miss the mark. Sex misses the mark when it practiced selfishly and without commitment to family responsibilties. The original ancestors of our species engaged in illicit sexual behavior before they were spiritually prepared. They 'ate the fruit' too early. The result is this fallen world. The way we express ourselves sexually has huge ramifications on our personal psychological health, and more importantly on the identity of the creatures we bear. Don't mess around with the holy of holies...your sexual parts. Its a huge mistake. Confession does not spare you from personal hell...only absolute sexual love and the true love family life can save you from hell. Read more at the link.

All sin can send you to hell, and you need to confess. Or rather ask God to forgive you for your sins.
Most of the world has fallen prey to this sin. And as far as I can tell, no one wants to give it up. Nevertheless, it still a sin in God's sight. Pray and believe that God can handle all of your sins.

Sex is evil.
Evil is a sin.
Sins are forgiven.
So let us begin...
Or some **** like that or at least thats what I heard.
I know this is gonna sound harsh but this ? is stupid. Sex isnt a sin, its how life is created. It relieves stress, if done right its very enjoyable. As long as your mature enough to be doing it and smart enough to be safe about it. I personally don't see a problem. But thats just my input.

Most religions say no. According to Christianity? In some cases. But then again, the Bible also says that it's a sin to eat shellfish.
It's more important that you form your own opinions about things.

Sex is the essential mechanism for reproduction of a species. Without it life on earth would not survive. Only religious faith can take a biological process and turn it into a sin. Strange, Strange, Strange.....

You can confess for any sin that you make, and god will supposedly forgive you. However I do not believe in any of these things.

If you're a devout Catholic, you can go to Confession and confess your sins to a Priest to receive absolution. Then it may be a toss up between Purgatory and Heaven.
