i have already changed her food so it's not food allergy like the vet told me... i don't want to spend useless money on a vet visit for her to tell me the same thing again....

She sounds like she has a flea allergy and even though you're treating her for the fleas it may still take a while for the itchiness to go away. Call your vet and tell him/her about what's going on and ask them if you can try antihistamines to help reduce the itchiness. They may recommend a specific kind or send some home. If she scratches enough wounds into her neck it could develop into a skin infection that may need oral antibiotics. If the flea infestation is really bad ask them about capstar which you can use in conjunction with topical flea meds. Capstar is an oral product that will kill all the fleas on her quickly but only last 1-2 days at a time. That's why topical flea preventatives are best but in a bad infestation there's other stuff you can also use. Good luck.

Just because you've changed her food, does not mean it's not a food allergy!! How do you know the new food contains none of the same ingredients as the last food? Do you know exactly what ingredient she might be allergic too?!

Maybe your cat has a flea allergy. I don't know, I haven't seen her, but if she has you'll have to treat the house regularly, Revolution can't keep you 100% flea free.

I know you've turned to the internet to try to avoid spending money on a medical problem, but it's just tough I'm afraid. You think vets would exist if you could get useful answers from Yahoo?

Take her to the vet and find out what is wrong. That's probably the only thing you can do. If your vet was wrong try taking your pet back, or taking it to another vet. Try getting flea medicine, possibly getting it shaved, changing to a different type of food, changing to a different type of litter. Any thing that you can think of, try it.

Hair loss is indicative of a serious medical condition.

Go to a different vet!! If your furry friend isn't getting any better, you have every right and responsibility to find a vet who can and will help her.

It sounds like she may be allergic to the fleas. Advantage or frontline are the best for fleas.

Ear mites are another possibllity, but Revolution will take care of that as well.
