Try going to any christian church and telling them that God spoke to you and was told to tell them that they are following the Anti christ and see what happens. Make sure its one ina different city and they don't know where you came from because they will dd everything in their power to ruin your life. Because they like what they believe now and what you say is going to rock their boat.

Oh yeah the false ones would be received. It's the true ones that would have the trouble from society at large because the majority of society already rejects God, does not want anything to do with God until catastrophe strikes and that only lasts for a moment and back to business as usual. The only people who welcomes the true prophets of God are the true children of God.

why do you think Edgar Cayce and Nostradamus are still in print and have a resurgence of interest? Why are there books after books and websites about the prophecies of all world religions? In troubled times when no one knows what's going to hit us next and from where people clamor for a glimpse of the future. A good deal of attention seems to focus on 12/21/2012 lets wait and see.....

I do not think that a prophet would ever be welcome (as far as widely-accepted) in a world as corrupt and wicked as we live in. The simple fact is - (a lot of) people do not want to hear about how they need to change or need anything bigger than themselves to be fulfilled. But the Bible says "how beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news" and that is the view that counts, not our view.

Since there will not be any until the end times the question is not relevant on that level. Since God used prophets to correct His people if they were around they would not be received well. Telling people that they should not kill babies dress with out any modesty, lie, cheat, steal, murder and more.

They weren't welcome back then! Why do you think some prophets refused the role and tried to travel to escape that responsibility?

No, Christians today are too closeminded to accept anything other than Jesus parting the clouds and coming down to earth.

Not very likely. They would be treated probably much the same they were in Biblical times.
