This isn't the short soundbite answer that everyone on Yahoo Answers likes so much.

Language is not eternal. It evolves, mixes with other languages, and new languages are born. Spanglish is a new language being born. One day, Spanglish will probably be the native language of Northern Mexico and the Southwestern United States. That's the result of a cultural force that operates independently of politics. Change immigration policy and you're not going to stop it.

If you don't want to learn Spanish than don't. Makes no difference to me. No one will force you to learn.

If you are asking about Spanish being used in America than the answer is that it doesn't concern you. The majority of people who understand Spanish in the US are citizens and legal residents.
