I have a truck payment and I was told by my recruiter that my loan company should freeze my account until I graduate. The problem is that the company which is capital one, will not do this for me. So I was curious how or if they let you pay bills.

You need to have someone do this for you. A parent, a spouse or significant other. It needs to be someone you trust. You may need a Power of Attorney--your recruiter or MEPS can help with this and get you to a JAG officer--do NOT do a General PoA. Get a Specific PoA that will only allow your trustee to do what needs to be done (probably just write a check) to get your payments made. They can even specify in the PoA, that the payments can only be made in the specific amounts and the appropriate number to cover the period.

Something that is less risky that occurred to me while writing this, you can write the checks you need now and put them in addressed stamped envelopes. Give a friend/SO/parent instructions for when to mail them. They just have to be trustworthy not to forget.

Just like everyone else said, take care of it before you leave. Have your parents or a relative take care of it while you are gone. You will not have the time to deal with it during bootcamp. Trust me.

Good luck, and keep your head up. It'll be tough. All the way through your entire enlistment, especially if you are infantry. I am.

You need to make arrangements for all of this before you go. The Marine DIs don not look highly to recruits asking for time off to pay bills. BUT you do have time to mail letters which means you can pay bills..they let you keep your checks! As long as you can pay by check you are good...If you can not you can make other arrangements. Your recruiter LIED...they never let you off your bills.

You should be able to set up automatic bill pay. That's what I did when I went to Iraq. Short of that, have someone (you trust) pay the bill in your stead. Just write out the checks to the bank in the exact amount the payments are, and date them appropriately.

YES..
Talk to your recruiter about what forms you will need to get filled out PRIOR to your ship date.
He should be able to help you pull them off the Internet there at the station. Fill them out and submit them upon arrival and in processing at your new home.

Yes, you can setup allotments to be deducted from your paycheck and sent directly to Capital One.

You can contact finance and they will help you get the paperwork done.
