I read on wikipedia that having scoliosis can cause you to have nose bleeds.

"Muscle tightness as caused by scoliosis (the tightened muscles cause blood vessels to become constricted, resulting in nosebleeds from the same side as the tightened muscles)."-Wikipedia

But because it is wikipedia I want someone to confirm to me that this is true. I have mild scoliosis and sometimes i have nose bleeds for no good reason.

I also want to know is there any over the counter drugs that can help me with my back pain.

I have Scoliosis never had a nose bleed and I am 49. If you have back pain you need to first get diagnosed and then they will prescribe the medication. Mild scoliosis needs to be seen by a Doctor so that they can avoid problems later on in life. The sooner they can monitor the degree of the curvature the better off you will be. Good Luck

I have never heard this! I have nosebleeds occasionally but my doctor told me it was due to thinness near blood vessels, etc in my nose...I do not have scoliosis.

Both my sister and my mom have scoliosis and they do not get nosebleeds. My mom's case is severe, in fact. So I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. I would go get a physical at some point though if you haven't already just to be sure that everything is ok. Other than Advil or another ibuprofen (maybe Bayer?), I don't know of over the counter medicine for back pain. Your doctor might be able to prescribe you something though if those don't work.

No, scoliosis is a lateral curvature of the spine. It has nothing to do with nosebleeds. As for back pain, I find that Ibuprofen works the best for me, when that's not good enough I take Aleve.
