Hi. I have to get straight A's throughout the whole year in order to get a PS3 and so far I have gotten it. I've wanted a 60 gig PS3, but I heard they are discontinuing it. Does anybody know when you can't buy it anymore? Can I get it on June 9th? Or will I be able to get the 80 gig with MotorStrom for the same price? Also, does anybody know where I could get the 60 gig console by June 9th or the 80 gig with MotorStorm at the same price not using online services like ebay or ordering online at target, I don't want to do that. I mean I want to be able to buy it at a store where you could drive to and it would be there. Thanks

Already right now, most stores don't even carry the 60GB PS3 anymore, and they only sell the 40GB and 80GB PS3. The 60GB PS3 has already been discontinued since early this summer. If you want to find a 60GB PS3 right now most likely you have to buy it online, but some stores may still have a few. So by June 9th 2008, It will be rare if you will even be able to find a 60GB PS3 online and by then they wont be in stores at all.

The 60GB and 80GB PS3 both cost the same ($499). Even though the 60GB PS3 has less hard drive space and doesn't come with a free game, the increased backward compatibility is worth it.

But if you really want a 60GB PS3, I really advise that you get one now, because by June 2008 they will most likely be gone.

Get the 80 gig......... the 60 gig went out of production in the spring 2007 and will be bought up by the end of this holiday season...But the 80 gig is awesome and you'll need that space for all the cool demos you can download ...Some demos are almost 2 gig. Keep up the good work.
