What are your preferred concealed carry weapons?

I'm just curious. Also when I eventually am old enough I want some good ideas. The problem is that I'm slim,145 lbs,and the doc says I ain't gonna get much bigger. It looks like the only gun I could carry concealed would be a derringer or a NAA mini revolver.

Depending on the season and situation (undercover, personal carry, back-up weapon), I like the following sidearms, in no particular order:

SigSauer P228/229 with Siglite tritium sights -13+ rounds in a concealable, reliable and accurate package in your choice of 9mm, .40 or .357 Sig

Glock 30- 10 rounds of man-stopping .45 in a very small, easy to handle, reliable compact.

H&K USP/USP compact in .45 or .40- not the most concealable, but reliable, accurate, and great capacity all add up to deadly.

S&W Airweight w. Glaser Safety Slugs or wadcutter rounds

Any Colt 1911 variant or quality custom model (Kimber, etc)

Maybe the Springfield XD compact- not sure about the reliability, but good size and shoots well.

I would NEVER carry any of the cheap, unreliable "small" guns by folks like Kahr, Taurus, Kel-tec, et. al. Would not trust my life to any junk like that.

Really all comes down to what are you comfortable with shooting accurately and what is "concealable" on your frame, typical clothing, etc.

Well I cannot carry concealed in IL, but if I could or lived in a state that allowed it and did it would either be the Sig 239 or a Springfield Armory XD sub-compact...

I carry a Smith & Wesson M5906. It is 9 mm, and 14 shot capacity. It is very accurate and fast, and not too bulky or heavy. I load it with the Federal Premium 124 gr. jacketed hollow points. I have never had one of these rounds to "stove pipe" on me. The 5906 is prone to "stove pipes" with brass cases. The Federals are nickel and seem to be slick enough to extract properly.

I carry a 1911, my wife has a baby eagle.

The best choice for a ccw is a fully personal thing, but most people would recommend the largest you can comfortably shoot and carry.

A cute little 25 automatic. Maybe some day a 44 special.
also, don't break any laws whatsoever, not even as a minor. I presume you intend to be an upstanding citizen.
