One of the recent wildfires in Southern California was named the Witch Fire.
Had it been named the Christian Fire, would Christians have objected?

Hmm. I wonder WHY it was called the "witch fire". I'll bet that it had something to do with the area in which it started.
But, no, I don't believe that I'd feel honored if one were named "Christian".
Probably wouldn't object if there was a reasonable explanation for the naming tho.

It usually has to do with something around the area. Usually a location. There was the magic fire, for magic mountain, the santiago canyon fire was in santiago canyon. There is a probably a name of something with the name witch in it around where the fire was.
Did all the Katrinas in the world freak out over a hurricane named after them?

Actually the bible teaches that in the end the world will be be consumed with fire. So if you want you can name that one the Christian fire. In the mean time I think I'll go outside and play with some matches.

I don't have a problem with it. The United Methodist symbol is a flame around a cross, so I don't know that they'd have a problem with it. Also, I've heard of preachers giving "fire and brimstone" sermons, so I guess it might be fitting.

im sure someone would be offended. I wouldnt care, unless everyone thought it was the cleverest thing in the world and make a big deal about it all day long.
