I know you NEED a decoder, and it doesnt come with Windows. etc. I got a free one online, but I think its now corrupted or something, because its not working.. How do most people get a decoder for watching DVDS? Buy one from a certain site?

You can watch DVDs without the need for a decoder if you use VLC or GOM Player. And I didn't think there was a such thing as a free DVD decoder for WMP.

You can buy one, but most people get them from other programs that they have or buy. Like video editing software or stuff like that. They use a MPEG2 decoder

Some users even opt to use a Player that will usually play about anything like VLC.
