I have always driven Dodge Trucks and they have never given me any problems. You take care of your truck it takes care of you.

If you need a big one, the Ford is clearly the best. The F-150's are overly complicated, but extremely heavy duty. A Super Duty is still built like a real truck in terms of simplicity, and that's good.
If you need a small truck, it turns out nobody makes them any more. The Ford Ranger is the smallest truck you can buy in the US, and it's not all that small.
Some smart company needs to import us some small trucks.

Ford all the way. Toyota trucks suck. They cant even come close to the towing that ford has. The new Tundra pulls 10k and the ford 1/2 ton pulls 11.5k, not to mention best selling for 30 years straight.

Nissan Titan, pretty bullet proof no major failure rate.Nissan has worked out the bugs. I have two dodge diesels they arealso excellent trucks. Toyota is slipping back in the standings, they are all about perception of quality now instead of a quality truck

Toyota. I have a 2001 Tacoma and there has been absolutely NO problems with it. It rides smooth, easy to maintain, great gas mileage.
My brother's first car was a Toyota pickup 1984, and he had it until 1991, when he wrecked it and got another one just like it because he loved it so much. He still has that truck and it's made like mine. Still has the original clutch, and it's over 160K miles... he drives it back and forth from Florida to North Carolina at least twice a year, it's been in 18 car accidents (because my brother is a bad driver) and it's still going strong.

Chevrolet, My buddy has one with 90,000 miles on it, and his dad has one with 190,000 on it. They last forever, and they just drive great. I am about to buy a 2005 Silverado Crew cab with the 5.3L V8. I think its the best choice, i have driven the ford, dodge and chevy. The chevy is best

Out of those makes, Toyota makes the best truck. Unfortunately though, they no longer offer truck engines in their trucks (diesel)

Your question should be "Do I really need a truck?" unless you already own one and are looking for a new one. People are buying trucks and have no need for them. Trucks get poor fuel mileage except for some diesels, don't handle or ride as smoothly as a car and are not easily parked. So, do you really need a truck?
